Subject: 19420/TempClos/3 State 3 Mtn Century & Road Race Date: Thu, 16 Apr 1992 14:15:00 -0500 RESOLUTION NO. 19420 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CHATTANOOGA DOWNTOWN AND TIFTONIA AREAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 1992 FOR THE "THREE STATE THREE MOUNTAIN CENTURY AND ROAD RACE" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE CHATTANOOGA BICYCLE CLUB. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is authorized the temporary closing of Gateway Avenue between M.L. King Boulevard and Cameron Circle, 6th Street between Cameron Circle and Market Street, the northbound lanes of Market Street between 6th Street and Cherokee Boulevard, the eastbound curblane of Cherokee Boulevard between Market Street and Manufacturers Road, eastbound Manufacturers Road between Cherokee Boulevard and Hamm Road, eastbound Hamm Road between Manufacturers Road and Pineville Road, the eastbound curblane of Signal Mountain Road between the City Limits and Suck Creek Road, Suck Creek Road between Signal Mountain Road and the City Limits, northbound Pineville Road between Hamm Road and the Chattanooga City Limits, the eastbound curblane of U.S. Highway 41, Cummings Highway, from the City Limit in Tiftonia to Broad Street, and the northbound curblane of Broad Street between Cummings Highway and 28th Street ending at the Alamo Plaza on Saturday, April 25, 1992 from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. for the presentation of the "Three State Three Mountain Century and Road Race" under the sponsorship of the Chattanooga Bicycle Club, provided that the sponsors shall set out and pick up all flasher barricades and traffic control signs in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for emergency vehicles.
